These pages are dedicated to my passion for the Land Rover and in particular the Discovery.

My "Landy Love" started back in 1972, when my father bought the first brand new vehicle he ever owned. An 88" Series III Petrol, registration GVP 536L. From the time that we went on the train to collect it, to the time when he sadly sold it almost seven years later, we owned the greatest vehicle in the world. (Well in the eyes of a young boy anyway). I know it's still on the road, and that it's had three further owners. I also know that it's changed colour to green at some point, but I'd love to find out more about it. If you own it, or know who does, please get in touch.

It wasn't until recently that I had the opportunity of owning my own Land Rover. I chose a 1992 Series I Discovery 200 TDi, which I call "grep". The combination of practicality and performance that the Discovery gives won for it for me, and I've been hooked ever since. I am a member of both the Discovery Owners Club and the Mud Club. Since I got "grep" I have been slowly, as time and money have allowed, modifying him to suit my passion for off-roading. So far I would estimate I have spent approximately £1300. Heres what I have done...

  • Fitted a Brownchurch roofrack
  • Fitted a Land Rover rear ladder
  • Fitted a Safari snorkel
  • Fitted axle breathers
  • Fitted Team 80 channel CB and aerial

  • Fitted 4 x Ring driving lamps to roofrack

I hope to add to these pages over time, and share some of my Land Rover experiences with you. But in the meantime, here are some links that you might find interesting.
